Mr. Kettering’s career has focused on creating and investing purposeful, disruptive businesses, as well as engaging in research and practice in global public affairs. Currently, through his position at KGA, he serves as Executive Chairman of KC Group, a financial services company focused on China, and co-Founder and Partner at Ivita, a healthcare investment holding company. He is a China Expert at the World Economic Forum, a founding member of the Hamptons Family Office Council, and a member of the Kettering Family Foundation. From 2013 to 2016, he was a Senior Associate and subsequently Partner at Cambium, Ltd., a merchant bank focused on private equity investment in the industrial and consumer sectors. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Senior Associate at Veritas Growth Companies, a private equity firm focused on the education sector. From 2010 to 2012, he was Head of Strategy at Ceremony Coffee Roasters, a boutique branded coffee company. He received his M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John's College, Annapolis, with a focus on political philosophy and ancient Greek in 2011, and his B.A. magna cum laude in mathematics and philosophy from Northwestern University in 2009. He resides in New York City and Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
environmental impact
As a financial business, KGA’s primary direct environmental impact is the generation of emissions from transportation services utilized by employees. Since July 2018, KGA has purchased Verified Emissions Reductions (“VERs”) for all primary transport emissions incurred by KGA employees for business purposes.
